The quest for new technologies and the constant research and development on planers is a passion for us at MIDA. This evolution is constant, be it because of market demands or because of very specific requests of our clients.

The Rekor-6 TF was born out of a very special need: To design a 4-sided planer that would respect the natural shape of the wood after coming out of the log carrier, but dressing all four sides. This was a difficult challange, to conceive a machine capable of having vertical floating spindles that could float in tandem, independently, one side at a time, and respecting the natural profile of the wood. Each vertical spindle has the capacity to float around 350 mm, which is huge, compared with the vast majority of machines available on the market.

All these movements are electronically controlled by means of a powerful electronic processing unit on the machine. This new planer is also prepared for remote servicing, from the MIDA factory, it is possible to update the machine's firmware.

The Rekor-6 TF is the first of a new age of planers from MIDA, the design and manufacture of highly specialized and sophisticated machines totally customized to the customers needs.
